Wow i can blog now YEY we got a new computer and i thought well maybe it will not give me the white screen of death now if i try to write a new post and Viola! Yippee Well so much has happened since i last posted. Katie has been successfully potty trained now for 5 months and it has been so wonderful she caught right on and most of all she just loves to be praised and told she is a big girl. She tries so hard to make us happy even though she doesnt need to try at all but i do appreciate it. :)
 This summer i went to a couple yard sales and got everything i need for the new baby! I got enough clothes to fill two dressers, tons of shoes, blankets and a swing and total i spent 40 $ im so grateful i found all the things i needed. Yard sales are defiantly the way to go to get baby stuff, they need so much stuff and it is so expensive. In june we went to Arizona to visit family and to see my new nephew Jameson, it was a fun trip we got to see lots of family and katie had a lot of fun. I do know that i will never live there in my life... ever but it was fun to visit hopefully if you go again it can be during winter ;) 
    We also added a puppy to our family we have wanted a yorkie forever but they are hard to find around here and they are so pricey, alan found an add in the paper for some and we jumped right on it and got a little male yorkie. his name is Jaxson we just call him jax he is a good little dog if he would just poop on his pad i would love him even more hahaha him and katie have sooo much fun together. She will run down the hall while he is running along behind her and then she will fall to the ground and huddle up and jax jumps on her and attacks her while she laughs hysterically this can go on for hours literally. He makes a good babysitter when im super busy cleaning hahaha 

       I only have 4 more weeks till baby Mason gets here and im so excited to meet this litttle guy and im so done being pregnant. This time around is so different then with katie i wish and hope that labor and delivery wont be different that it can go like it did with katie but i know that is wishful thinking. Even so im not scared just getting anxious, i actually really enjoyed labor and delivery it was an amazing experience. This little guy moves around so much and pushes out so hard i think he is going to burst through my stomach at any moment. I did learn that i have a common blood disorder called factor five lieden, So while im pregnant have to give myself shots everyday. Originally  i was told i had to do them around my belly button and it has to go into fatty tissue not muscle and that was ok for a while. The needle didnt hurt it was the medicine going in that stung but as my tummy grew and stretched it was getting really hard to grab any fat to put the needle in. It started to really hurt and bled bad when i pulled the needle out so they told me i could do it in my butt or leg.That has helped so much i have plenty of butt to administer the medicine in hahaha. 
 But im almost done having to take them so i cant wait for that.

7 months of freedom!

KAITLYN IS COMPLETELY POTTY TRAINED!!!!! I couldn't be more excited, by day 6-7 it finally just clicked and she got it! she understands how to hold it and recognize that she has to go and she tells me. That is the thing i was most worried about i thought now how am i going to teach her how to tell me she has to go but she did it she just figured it out, once she learned to recognize the feelings and the urges to go potty. Now i have seven months of no buying or changing diapers, i just couldn't be more happy about that. Then i start all over for another 2 years before i get a break again haha. But newborn diapers are A LOT more pleasant then two year old diapers whooeee! i guess being pregnant doesn't help much with that either.

consistency pays off

Potty training has proved to be another area of parenting where consistency will make your life much easier. Alan and i have talked and planned how we want to raise our children and how we plan to help them be good listeners and good people. We are very consistent in how we discipline her and how we talk to her as we are trying to help her understand why she is being disciplined.

We can take her anywhere and we NEVER worry about her throwing a fit or having a screaming spasm haha she is always so polite and loves to tell everybody "hi sweetie" and watch them smile back are her. She understands when our tone changes and we ask her to not do something , i have had to take her out of the store one time and she has never thrown a fit since.

We are also very consistent in the way we praise her, she hears and endless stream of " good job" " big girl" and "so proud of you" delivered with hugs and kisses and i love yous. I think it is super important she knows how loved she is and i believe that is why she is such a kind polite amazing little girl. She loves to please everyone around her especially her mommy :) Her little face just breaks apart if she sees that im upset with her in anyway.

With potty training on day one she had about 7-8 accidents and every time she had one i would say it was ok and gently remind her that she needed to tell me when she had to go potty i have probably told her this a thousand times. On the second day she had about 5-6 accidents, but i responded the same way i would take her to the potty and praise her like crazy when she went she just loved it she claps for her self and says yey i did it! :) on the third day i saw some real progress she only had 3-4 accidents and i could tell she was really trying to tell me before hand.

Day four we finally made a break through!!!! i was in the bedroom and she started to go a little in her undies and she stopped and looked at me and said potty and i encouraged her by saying " hold it were almost there" and she did hold and made it to the potty. I was so relieved because that meant she was starting to recognize that she had to go. Later that evening we were in the living room where her little pink potty is and i asked her if she needed to go and she lifted up the lid pulled her undies down on her own ( which is another accomplishment) and she went and she pulled the pot out of the potty and headed for the toilet all by herself! Yey it is finally starting to sink it. Whew four days of constant reminding and encouragement. So today on day five we finish the day with only two accidents one early in the morning, and one during nap time. After that it has been smooth sailing all day she lets me know when she has to go and if i ask and she has to she will tell me the truth hahaha im so proud of her and im so glad i finally got my butt in gear and decided to give it my full attention and really try to make this work. I think another three solid days and she will have it down.

The one thing im not sure about is how to teach her about going potty at night and not having to wear diapers at night anymore but i will tackle that when it comes right now just one step at a time. :)

Potty Training....need i say more?

Well i started trying to potty train Katie a few months ago when i quit my job but i wasn't really into it. I knew Katie showed some interest but there were to many other things going on and i couldn't focus and give it all the attention that i knew i needed so i just gave up and decided i would try it later.

Well two days ago i woke up and i was really sick, and Kaitlyns diaper....well it didn't help with my nausea lets just say that! and i thought ya know im sick of changing these nasty diapers my stomach just cant take it anymore so right there and then i said that's it we are going to potty train hahahaha

The first day went pretty good she was trying really hard and when i sat her on the potty she would go but when she was playing she didnt quite know yet how to recognize she had to go before hand and tell me but as soon as she had an accident she would realize what she did and come waddling over to me and say " oh no, its ok" so cute! she hates to think that im upset with her ever she has a very tender heart and always tries to make me happy, but she doesn't have to try very hard i just love her to death. Anyway, the second day i had to go to town and go grocery shopping and i was nervous cause it was only day two, but i came prepared with several changes of clothes and every time we went into the store we went straight to the potty she loved sams club cause they had a lil mini toilet she thought that was just great. She did have two accidents while out but they were both in the car and there was nothing she could do and i knew she felt bad. I asked her every five minutes if she has to go potty and she would say either no which she usually means or she will repeat potty for yes i do please :)

Today is day three and she has done AMAZING! she went pee as soon as she woke up and then i was in the bathroom and she came up to me and said " potty try" so we went to her potty and she went POOP! YEY we cheered and jumped around she was so proud of herself she kept saying " yey i did it" haha im so proud of her. She is learning very quickly, i just love her i hope it continues to go well we will see how the rest of the day goes i plan on not leaving this house for a week haha so she can get this down. :)

Favorite playtime tricks

Dear Kaitlyn,

When you were very young your daddy started trying to "scare" you and surprisingly you just loved it! I didn't think you would like it but now that you are a little bigger if someone is on the floor you sneak up behind them and, put your little hands on their backs and giggle :)

This video im posting of you was last night you were being so funny and i love when i tell you to find daddy you already know what to expect and you walk ever so carefully to the edge of the kitchen just waiting for dad to jump out and get you! It reminds me of when i was little and my brothers would play like that, im glad your not to chicken ;)

Yesterday you rode the horses with Grandpa again, only this time you went for a long time! you just loved it and you didn't want to come down. ( It really is ok if you want to be a cowgirl daddy doesn't really mind, he is just pretending cause one time dad tried to climb on top of a horse and it didnt like him so it thew him off and cut his head open! Daddy is still holding a grudge and hates them. Also i think he knows your uncles will make fun of him if he likes horses :)
